J.L. Beddow FAAP
Mrs Janet Beddow has been in the accountancy profession for
over 25 years. During these years she has worked for accountancy
firms, initially in a junior capacity rising to Audit Office
Manager for a local company. J.L. Beddow and Co. was established
in 1983 by Janet working on her own to build up a client base.
Over the years she has acquired a great deal of business experience
from her own business and in helping others achieve their ambition
to be their own boss. Her first client was a sole trader who
operates a JCB on a self-employed basis, and she is proud to
still have this man as a client today.
Janet is fully conversant with all aspects of self-employment.
Her vast knowledge of the Government bodies, e.g. Inland Revenue,
Customs and Excise, and Social Security, is available to all
of the office clients just by picking up the telephone.

Office Manager
- Mrs Causer
Mrs Carole Causer has been associated with J.L. Beddow and Co.
for 16 years. Prior to this she had worked in offices of a public
limited company. Her position as section leader put Carole in
charge of staff, responsible for all client invoices, telephone
queries, etc. This was within a very busy Waste Disposal Company,
where monthly deadlines had to be reached, with reports to the
Financial Director.
Since joining J.L. Beddow and Co. Carole organises the work
to be done at the office and ensures that deadlines are met
for quarterly VAT returns, end-of-year Inland Revenue returns
and Self-Assessment forms. She is the person to discuss all
aspects of manual book-keeping and pay-roll with. She is also
our oracle for SSP and SMP, having attended Social Security
workshops.
